Snoring is more than just a minor inconvenience. During the 1800s in the American Wild West, there was once a notorious gunfighter named John Wesley Hardin.
Hardin was asleep one night at the American House Hotel. In the adjoining room, a man snored so loudly that it kept Hardin awake. In a fit of rage, Hardin fired several bullets through the wall and ceiling of the bedroom. It is said that the first bullet merely woke the man; the second killed him.
